Yankee Roses is the recording and touring moniker of Richmond, Virginia-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist George Geanuracos. With his debut EP, Dreamless Winter, Geanuracos presents a collection of disarmingly honest and introspective songs that represent the most vital elements of his unique brand of reclusive folk.

Dreamless Winter chronicles universally relatable emotions and experiences which are rendered in Geanuracos’ thoughtful and charming prose and delivered with sparse arrangements and simple accompaniment. As a student in the tradition of the world’s great country troubadours, protest singers, and storytellers, Geanuracos has developed into the rare type of songwriter capable of writing songs that connect on the most human level without pretense or any other such fettering which would only jeopardize the honesty of his songs.

As much a document of Geanuracos’ own introspection as a potential companion for others seeking a kindred spirit to howl along with, Dreamless Winter is a vehicle to help move some of life’s often unbearable weight, the singular voice of a person with the gift of expressing the things we’ve all felt the way many of us wish we could express ourselves. Recorded at Noiselab 101 Studios with JJ Ganesh, and mastered by Rat Bastard at Dan Hosker Studio, the EP is ultimately a testament to the reality that there are few things as powerful as a few chords and the truth.
